"We are a young, dynamic company and have increased our automotive activities significantly over the last five years," says marketing manager Benedetta Terraneo. "We started off in the US, but now also collaborate with the biggest OEMs in Europe, Brazil, Asia and Australia, working with their designers to create new automotive applications for our Dinamica microfiber range."
Each year, the company creates an automotive collection to showcase the latest color, design and material innovations. The 2013 collection – called ‘Essence' – launched in May, and focused on inspiring new possibilities for automotive interior trimming through the use of five natural elements.
The 2009 NAIAS was the venue chosen to debut Volkswagen's latest concept: the BlueSport. "It is the symbiosis of outstanding technology and timeless Volkswagen design that makes this car an exceptional sports car. Its styling is clear and is reduced to the essentials; the car body itself has a lean and linear structure," explained Volkswagen Group Head of Design Walter de'Silva.

Aston Martin’s wedgy new Lagonda super-saloon was flown to Oman for testing this week, affording us this fresh look at the Middle East-only four-door. Oman Air publicised its role in transporting this prototype out to Muscat ‘as part of its early testing programme.’ We hope it travelled first class; the Lagonda will only be offered on sale to its wealthiest clients in the region. It’s only one month since Aston Martin confirmed the Lagonda project and issued a solitary teaser image of the saloon, side-on and shrouded in shadows.
